Scripture
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5
Reflection
Trust is not pretending you have no questions. Trust is choosing God even when you still have questions. Many of us wait until everything makes sense before we obey, but God invites us to walk by faith.
“Lean not on your own understanding” does not mean you stop thinking. It means you stop carrying the weight of everything alone. Your understanding is limited, but God’s wisdom is complete.
Today, identify one concern you’ve been replaying in your mind. Offer it to God. Ask Him for direction, but also ask Him for peace while you wait. Trust grows when surrender becomes a habit.
Prayer
Lord, I place my heart in Your hands. Where I feel uncertain, steady me. Where I want control, teach me surrender. Give me wisdom for what I can do today, and peace for what I cannot change yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
